Amanda Lee's Bio. I will start off in the now which if you knew me you'd know that is definitely my  style.

 Victoria British Columbia is where I live and have been living for the past 6 years. 

                                                                

 This is a beautiful Island and Victoria is different than any other town I've lived in..It's special here with special people, super special weather, except the last two weeks which with all my homework I'm happy it was crappy haha. It is really amazing here and my dogs love it here too. Yep that's right I'm a renter with dogs in Victoria. A "student renter is a dime a dozen here in Victoria because students can't afford the "special" prices on houses in special Victoria, so we rent but to find a place that will rent to dogs good luck 

 oh but how cute

Here is Mister Bear and Miss Bear and they are trouble dont let that cuteness fool you.. They don't help with rent and they eat way more than me and right out of the fridge and dont clean up when there are done. I feel like I have two kids, one really bad kid and one angel. Can u guess the bad one?

I'm a student by day, waitress by night and full time doggy lady 

that needs sleep it's 1:30am and I get up at 6:45am ..so to be cont..

I've been trying to follow and I think it should be easier. YEP EASIER.. unless I'm doing something wrong (which is probably the case) but come on followers lets follow together.

SUMMER TIME

 WoW.. Time is flying. Good that time is an invention!           INVENTION, that's it!  That is what I think about when I think about fashion design, my life and this summer. I want to invent my designs  and well maybe sell bathing suits and children's clothes on the side..  There has been some talk of a couple of my funky bathing suits up at Paradise Boutique thanks to the lovely talented owner and friend Rosebud  but we will see.. What I see for now is just inventing and 3 more years of school.
  I'm not at the point where I'm thinking of working under someone yet.. I mean I have much to learn but while my debts pile I think waitressing is the JOB and sewing is my passion..

is a large scale business that first opened in 1912 by Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel a major fashion Designer of our time. Chanel is one of the biggest fashion labels known for the Chanel suit, Chanel jacket, bell buttoms, Chanel no.5 perfum.

The smoking lily is a small scale

business located in Victoria, BC.

Smoking Lily creations are

beautifully sewn and silk-screened

in house and as well have some beautiful local

goods. The smoking has two retail locations.

The first store was

opened in 1996 and is still open today on

Johnson Street in Victoria. Its a gorgeous little

shop in a heritage building, this is a must see

And with the good quality, comfortable style is a

must have. Their product line consists of women's

clothing, men's clothing, children's clothing,hats,

belts, handbags and more.

O.k so I will blog quickly before I run to work because I need to BLOG in life and for homework and practice makes a great blogger right?..haha oh and because I have so much more homework to do after work tonight and after I walk my dawgs .. Yes I'm a busy girl but I wouldn't change a thing of my busy life, I love designing, I love sewing and I'm thrilled that I am finally doing something that I love and feel great about. . My full name is Amanda Lee Carter and I'm a young lady from Carbonear, Nfld. I left home at the age of 17 and drove to Montreal to attend Concordia University. Montreal is a beautiful city with tons of art and fashion and expression. After working on a BA for a year I switched to photography and travelled as a self employed photographer and worked nights as a bartender. My experiences are epic and my imagination grew. Art in my life has changed me in a way that its hard to explain but almost like as if black and white had been changed to bright vibrant colors. Just to note I love black and white. It's been 13 years since I drove away from my home in Newfoundland carrying my sewing machine, camera and music. I've attended different Colleges and Universities and obtained different certificates and trades like Culinary Arts but I have found my passion and it's FASHION. Fashion Design is my outlet to life. MY designS are bright, bold, fresh and fitted to SUIT you.

So. I'm kinda scared to blog and I'm not sure why? Most of my blogger friends "to be" know I have no problems talking, what's my problem? Maybe once I start you won't be able to stop me bloggin' huh ..well I'm in computer class now and don't worry its o.k as long as is deals with fashion so lets type fashion oh and Deirdre loves my outline for my portfolio so we tight!

Fashion, fashion, fashion is beautiful like shoes. Shoes are beautiful too and both are necessary on so many levels.. Shoes protect our feet, our feet which all of our weight lies on.And than Fashion same thing, clothing covers and protects the body and the body deserves to be covered with beauty and expression and durability. You see where I'm going with this both necessary and beautiful . " Why women love shoes because shoes have soul" yep I said that and there is more where that came from. I'm liking this blogging its like a "not so personal" journal. My passion and experiences and career will keep growing and growing and with that I will keep blogging and blogging .
